A Word from Our Senior Pastor

Just how important is it to be part of a small group? One of the first things Jesus did when he started his public ministry was to pull together a small group. Jesus knew a small group served as a valuable tool for teaching, building community, accountability, and on-the-job training.

By the way, Jesus’ small group turned the world upside down. Small groups, from the early church and throughout history, have proved to be a vital tool for growth and renewal. For example, John Wesley, the reluctant founder of the Methodist movement, required every “Methodist” to belong to a small group.

Many believe that the unprecedented growth of the Methodist movement in America, in its first hundred

and fifty years, can be attributed to the positive impact of the small group experience on people’s lives.

My prayer is that you will embrace the potential value of the small group as a tool to be used on your spiritual journey.

So take a risk, jump in and join a small group. I know God will meet you in a special way.

Blessings to you on your journey,

Paul
